When Virat Kohli was mentioned in this podcast, Mark Taylor told that he was very impressed with him. The former Australian captain referred to the 2014 Team India tour, when Kohli captained for the first time. Taylor told an anecdote of that series that he was interviewing Kohli for the first time, but suddenly the interview had to be stopped in between. He further told that at a time when Team India’s media manager came back to call Kohli, the star batsman told Taylor to first complete his interview, only then will he go.
Revealed about marriage to Kohli
Former left -handed veteran batsman Taylor was very impressed that Kohli had shown so much respect for him and his interview. It is here that Taylor said, “I will always remember that form of Virat Kohli. When my daughter was 17 years old, I once introduced her to Kohli and told her that she could marry Virat Kohli if she wanted. Virat was not married at that time.”

Now Mark Taylor must have said this in a joke, but as far as Kohli is concerned, he and Anushka Sharma’s relationship started at the time of that Australia tour.
