After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, India had destroyed the situation in Pakistan by running operation vermilion. After this, tension between the two countries increased. Even though there has been ceasefire between the two countries, the tension still remains. Its impact was also seen on sports. The WCL has made a big statement after canceling the match between India and Pakistan in London in London and apologized to the fans.
WCL apologizes
After the cancellation of India and Pakistan, it has apologized to the legendary cricketers and fans of India on the official social media page. He wrote, “We have always given importance to cricket in WCL and have loved it. Our goal is only to give fans a moment of happiness”.

WCL further wrote, “More than this, we unknowingly inconvenienced our Indian cricket veterans who have raised the value of the country and we also impressed the brands that we supported us. So we have decided to cancel the match between India and Pakistan. These Indian players refused to play the match
Five Indian players were to withdraw the name from this match behind the cancellation of the match between India and Pakistan in WCL 2025. Harbhajan Singh, Shikhar Dhawan, Irfan Pathan, Yusuf Pathan and Suresh Raina have decided not to play matches against Pakistan in protest against the Pahalgam attack. After which WCL has decided to cancel this match.
