The fourth edition of the World Test Championship is going to start from this Test series between India and England from June 20, the first match will be played at the Handingley Stadium in Leeds. However, this time many big names will not play, which has their own reasons. But a player is going to play in this series, who wanted to give himself pain till some time ago. These players are England fast bowler Bridan Cars.
England announced their squad for the first match of the Test series against India on Thursday 5 June. Cars have also been included in this squad, which will play an important role in England’s inexperienced fast bowling. However, till a few weeks ago, it seemed difficult for cars to play in this series. He suffered an injury during the Champions Trophy in February, due to which he was out of the tournament and then the entire IPL from 2025.
There were big steps to take career
Cars seemed difficult to play in the Test series, but now they have been completely cured and have returned to the field recently. But this return was not easy for him because at one time he was also ready to cut the second finger of his foot. In fact, during the bowling, the second finger of the left leg of the cars was hurt several times, due to which he was getting out again and again.
BBC quoted cars as saying that he was ready to cut these finger to save his career. Cars revealed, “There was a time when I was actually thinking of doing this while going to the bed. I was thinking that I should get rid of it. But then the medical staff said that I would need it to maintain balance, so this option had to be completely removed.”
Cars are important links for England’s bowling
Cars were later advised that it can be cured with enough comfort. If 29 -year -old cars went through any such surgery, it could have been difficult for England to play in this series. However, at the moment he has returned fit. Cars had made their Test debut for England last year and have taken 27 wickets in 5 matches at the best average of 19.85 so far. Apart from this, 28 wickets have been taken in 24 ODIs and 15 wickets in 8 T20s.
