England’s County Cricket Club Essex has announced to sign Indian left -arm fast bowler Khalil Ahmed for the rest of the 2025 county championship. This update club shared through its official social media handle, in which he has welcomed Khalil. 27 -year -old Khalil Ahmed was recently with India ‘A’ team in England, where he played two informal four -day Test matches against England Lions. In the second match, he performed brilliantly with four wickets. This performance is the basis of his entry in county cricket.

Khalil is known for his speed and swing. He made her debut for India in ODIs against Hong Kong in 2018. After this, he also got a chance to play T20 for India. But due to injuries, he could not make regular places in the national team. However, his brilliant performance for Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League brought him into the headlines again. Khalil Ahmed has played 11 ODIs and 18 T20 matches for Team India so far. During this, he has taken 15 wickets in ODIs and 16 wickets in T20. But he played his last ODI for India in the year 2019 and played the last T20 match last year. Last year, he returned to India’s T20 team after 6 years.
