Apart from Farooq Engineer, West Indies veteran Clive Lloyd will also get this honor. Sources told PTI that the stand-naming ceremony can be held on the first day of the Test match starting on July 23. The source said, “This is a reasonable respect for both the club veterans.”

Farooq Engineer played for Lancasher for almost a decade. In 175 matches between 1968 and 1976, the engineer scored 5942 runs for Lancashere. At the same time, as a wicketkeeper took 429 catches and 35 stumping. Let me tell you, when Farooq Engineer made her debut for Lancashere, the club did not have a big title for more than 15 years, but he helped win the Gillette Cup four times between 1970 and 1975. On the other hand, former West Indies captain Lloyd lived with the club for two decades, and contributed to the history of the club.
