The source also said that preparations are underway to resume the league on 16 or 17 May, and Lucknow is considered the restart site. Teams have been instructed to ensure that all players are ready to resume.

The source said, “All teams have been asked to recall their players. The tournament will resume in Lucknow on 16 May or 17 May. The final program will be shared tomorrow (Monday).”

Moreover, the source clarified that when Qualifier 1 and Eliminator matches were in their original designated places, Delhi and Dharamsala would no longer organize the next games. All the equipment has been removed from both these cities, ruling them with the argument of the remaining matches.

“Mostly, the match will be held in four places, and Delhi and Dharamsala will not organize more matches,” the source added.

BCCI Secretary Dwajit Sikia also weighed the situation, stating that the board was actively coordinating with all the parties to finalize the possible schedule for the remaining amount of the season.

“Over the next few days, we will start consultation with franchises, broadcasters, sponsors, and state organizations before crystallization in the decision to resume the league.”

He emphasized that the very last choices will most effectively be made after consulting the Indian authorities.
