IPL 2025 PBKS vs DC Replay : The IPL 2025 clash between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Delhi Capitals (DC), which was abruptly interrupted on Thursday, after attacks of missiles and drones on several Indian cities, is now set to be repeated when the tournament is resumed. The high-octane confrontation was interrupted when the PBKs were crossing at 122/1 after 10.1 Overs, with boundless open boundaries, Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh doing an impressive show.
Initially, a technical failure was cited as the reason behind the suspension, but it was later revealed that the national security concerns arising from transmitting attacks by Pakistan led to a provisional suspension of one week from the entire IPL tournament.
According to an Indian Express report, it is likely that the PBKS VS DC departure is likely to be repeated. However, it is not yet confirmed if the match will be restarted from the point where it was interrupted or will be played again. IPL’s official website has not marked the game as a ‘no result’, a strong indication that the match will be resumed in some way as soon as cricket operations are back on tracks.
In what was preparing to be a dominant entrance, Priyansh Arya played a sensational beat of 70 races only 34 balls, crushing five boundaries and six imposing hits. His partner, Pabhsimran Singh, also continued his purple flowerbed with a half-century fluent, helping Punjab to reach a formidable opening support of 122 runs before the game was suspended.
If the match sums up and Punjab Kings emerge victorious, they would become the first team to officially qualify for IPL 2025 playoffs, going to 17 points from 12 matches. At the moment, the PBKs remain in 15 points in 11 games, while Delhi Capitals, led by Rishabh Pant, is two points behind, with 13 from the same number of games.
However, logistics challenges abound. With the security situation still evolving and no confirmed reboot date, the Cricket Control Council in India (BCCI) faces a difficult task in resuming the league. Many foreign players have already flown back to their respective countries, while several Indian players have scattered themselves to their cities.
The destination of the remaining IPL 2025 accessories, as well as the potential outcome of the PBKS vs. DC meeting, will depend widely on geopolitical developments in the coming days. For now, fans await clarity and expect a safe and soft return to the cricket action.
