Know about IPL trade window
Talking about IPL trade window, this is a way in which two franchises can change their players with each other. This gives all 10 IPL franchisees a chance to improve their teams. They can leave the players who they do not need and can include those players in the team which can prove to be important for them. The IPL trade window always opens to all teams before the auction.
Know its rules
The trading window remains open till 7 days before the auction. During this time, any franchise can trade any player from any of the remaining 9 franchises. But soon after the auction, no new purchased player can be traded before the season starts. The team can trade it only after the season is over. The most important thing about this window is that any franchise can trade any players.
How is the players trading?
Players trading in three ways. The first way is that both teams traded the players without funds. Both of them exchange each other’s players of their choice. There is no money transaction in it. However, if someone has more fees in the exchange players, then the franchise who bought it has to pay that amount to the front team.
The second way for this is that any player in one team has included as much amount in his team, if the other team has to buy it, then they will have to pay the same money to the first team. For example, if a team has included one player in his team for 15 crore rupees, then the other franchise will have to give the same amount to that team and make the cricketer a part of his squad.
The third way is that if both the franchises have fixed one amount among themselves, then they will have to trading the players at the same price. This amount is not disclosed.
The franchise will also have to take care of this
If a player is being traded, then his consent on this is the most important yes.
Any player who is playing from the team should also agree for trade.
If two players are being swapped on different salary, then the team who buy a higher price will have to pay the difference.
