Many different T20 leagues are played worldwide. In such a situation, now a tournament is being considered among the champion teams of all these popular T20 Cricket Leagues. Which will be named World Clubs T20 Championship. However, the Indian Premier League champion team will not participate in the first season of this tournament. At the same time, the ICC has made up its mind to give a big blow to the Pakistan Cricket Board.
Jai Shah will get Pakistan out of this tournament!
The World Clubs T20 Championship tournament can cut Pakistan’s leaf. According to reports, the winning team in the Pakistan Super League is unlikely to be invited for this tournament, the ICC and its president Jai Shah may soon take a big decision on it. The reason behind this is believed to be a mistake of the Pakistan Cricket Board. A source told PTI, “The Pakistan Cricket Board was invited to send the CEO of PSL for a meeting held on the sidelines of the Cricket Connect meeting in London last month, but no one came.” Rather, all the major league members were part of this meeting.
In this meeting, big issues like window and format for the World Clubs T20 Championship were discussed. The meeting included CEOs of League like Emirates League, Big Bash League, The Hundred, SA 20, MLC, Caribbean Premier League. Pakistan was also invited. But no one came from Pakistan. It is also strange that PCB President Mohsin Naqvi has also not regularly attended the ICC meeting. Due to which Pakistan can be excluded from this tournament.
Saudi league will get a collision
Saudi Arabia is working on starting a new league in the world of cricket. A Global T20 League is being planned by the SRJ Sports Investments Company working under Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund. It will have a total of eight teams, which will play tournaments in four different countries in a year. But BCCI and England and Wales Cricket Board are seen in the new league. Due to which the World Club Championship is being tracked rapidly to derail the Saudi Cricket League.
