James Anderson, one of the most successful fast bowlers in Test history, announced his retirement from international cricket last year. He played his last Test match against West Indies in July 2024 at Lord’s. However, he is still active in domestic cricket. James Anderson recently returned to T20 format after 11 years. He came out playing in England’s famous T20 League Vitality blast. Where his performance was very strong, due to which he has got a big opportunity now.
James Anderson will play in Manchester
Some big names have been revealed in the wildcard draft for the 2025 season of the famous 100 -ball Cricket League of England, The Hundred. The special thing is that it also includes the name of 42 -year -old James Anderson. The Hundred is going to start from August 5, before all 8 teams have announced the names of wild card players. Anderson has been selected by Manchester Originals. This is the first time that this veteran England bowler will be seen playing in The Hundred League.
James Anderson got this opportunity based on the performance of T20 blast. He recently took 14 wickets in 8 matches for Lancasters in T20 blast. The special thing is that he had spent runs with an economy of only 7.75. Anderson has played a total of 52 T20 matches so far and has taken 55 wickets. He has also played 19 T20 matches for England, in which he could take only 18 wickets. Not only this, Anderson also gave his name for IPL 2025, but he was not shortlisted for the auction.
