Andre Russell reacts to Kohli : After being the IPL champion, Kohli said this joy is at least five steps below the Test game. Kohli’s remarks, who have recently retired Test, were happy to see his love for red ball cricket. But Andre Russell is not taking his comment well. Rather, the night star kept Kohli with the ‘knock’ of money.
Many West Indies cricketers, including Russell, played the franchise league around the world. There has been repeated questions about how responsible they are responsible for playing Tests for the country. His clear statement, if the Kohli gets the money from the board, they will also agree to play the Test. The night star said, “Cricketers are well taken care of in countries like India, Australia, England. But the situation in the West Indies is completely different.”
He added, “The cricketers of these countries get money from the board. So shows interest in playing in Test cricket or other formats. And after the West Indies players retired after playing 3 or 5 Tests, there is no financial security. Of course you want to enjoy life well and protect your family.”
And when he got it, he would also play Test cricket with interest. Russell says, “I love Test cricket too. But I have not been allowed to play Test cricket. Our board wants me to be white. I am professional at the end of the day. I have no regrets for that.” Russell is currently in England to play a three-match Twenty20 series against Butlers.
