Giving the example of Rishabh Pant, he appealed to Rahul to understand his ability and score a big score continuously.
KL Rahul is not a player to score a century
Talking on Star Sports, Sanjay Manjrekar appreciated Pant’s batting in the Leeds Test and said, ‘I think Rishabh Pant enjoys his batting in Test cricket. When a batsman scored two centuries in a Test match, he has to be mentally and physically strong. He scored a century in the first innings and then 48 hours later he scored another century. This is a sign of big players.
After mentioning Pant’s ability, Manjrekar warned Rahul to do something similar. Manjrekar said, ‘Apart from Rishabh Pant, there is another senior batsman in the team. He has no other option but to continue his form in this series. Indian cricket is in great need of him and KL Rahul can no longer be a player who performs well in just one century or a match.
Second Test is starting from July 2
In the first Test for Team India, the batsmen batted amazing but the bowlers could not leave their mark.
