MCC Changes Boundary Catch Rule, ‘Bunny Hops’ to be deemed as illegal | MCC boundary catch rule change

MCC boundary catch rule change : A sky shot is being deposited in the hands of the fielder standing in the boundary line. The fielder was thrown into the field again, throwing the ball out of the line. Such a scene is always seen on the cricket field. In this case, the batter is given out in accordance with the rules of cricket. But this time it won’t. MCC, a cricket rules maker, has been changing the rules for catching flying conditions out of the boundary.

Many times the fielder lost the balance by taking a catch on the boundary line or stopping the sixes. Then the ball was thrown up and crossed the border. Jump out of the boundary and threw the ball back and folded it back inside the border. Then he came inside the boundary and took the catch or save sixes. But in doing so, the fielder sometimes touches the boundary multiple times while flying outside the boundary. According to the new rules of the Merliborn Cricket Club, it will no longer be legal to catch a catch or save sixes. The fielder will not be able to touch multiple times when flying outside the boundary.

The new rules say that a fielder can jump out of the boundary and touch the ball only once. Then he will have to get inside the border and get a catch. The ball cannot be touched multiple times even when flying. One such catch was debated in the Big Bash in 2021. During the Brisbane hit match against Sydney Sixer, the catch began with the dispute over the catch. Sydney’s Jordan Silk hit the sky shot towards the long off. Silk’s catch jumped out of the boundary and touched the second time and returned inside the border. He jumped the ball for the second time, and he set foot outside the border and ran inside and took the catch. The question of whether the batter could be given out of the boundary line and catching a catch. This catch will no longer be valid in the new MCC rules.

Once a touch catch to fly to zero, that catch will be valid. For example, the historic catch of Suryakumar Yadav Miller in the 2021 T20 World Cup will be valid. In that case, however, the entire body of the field must be inside the boundary when touching the second ball.

The MCC has given the new rules. That rule will be added to the ICC’s playing condition next week. However, the new rule will be effective from October next year.
