After this, his daughter Ayra was born in 2015. But in 2018, Haseen made serious allegations on Shami like domestic violence, dowry harassment and even match fixing. Haseen had filed a complaint against Shami and his family at Jadavpur police station in Kolkata. Haseen had also demanded a monthly living allowance of Rs 10 lakh, however, at that time his demand was rejected by the lower court. Now the Kolkata High Court has given a big verdict.

Mohammed Shami shocks a big shock than High Court

Bowler Mohammed Shami has suffered a major setback from the Kolkata High Court. The High Court has ordered Shami to give a living allowance of Rs 4 lakh every month for his wife Haseen Jahan and his daughter Aira. This amount will be applicable for the last seven years, which means that Shami will also have to pay the arrears of this period. That is, he will give more than 3 crore rupees to Haseen Jahan.

A bench of Justice Ajay Kumar Mukherjee of Kolkata High Court gave this decision on 1 July 2025. The court said in its order that Shami will have to pay Rs 1.5 lakh to his wife Haseen Jahan and Rs 2.5 lakh to daughter Arara every month. The decision came on a petition by Haseen Jahan, who challenged the decision of a lower 2023 court, in which Shami was ordered to give Rs 50,000 to Haseen and Rs 80,000 to his daughter.

This case also affected Shami’s career

Let me tell you, Mohammed Shami is one of the most important fast bowlers in India. But when Haseen Jahan made serious allegations like match fixing on him, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had investigated allegations of corruption against Shami, later BCCI acquitted Shami from these allegations. After this, Shami returned to the team again. He recently played an important role in India’s victory in the 2025 Champions Trophy. However, at the moment he is out of the ongoing Test series against England due to injury.
