Saloni Dangore’s name in Indian cricket may be new, but this player has got a big opportunity to make his mark in the cricket world. Saloni Dangore will soon be seen playing in a foreign cricket league. The special thing is that Saloni Dangore has not played any international match yet. Not only this, she has never become a part of the Women’s Premier League (WPL). In such a situation, this player’s selection in the foreign league is quite shocking.
Indian players will play in foreign league
27 -year -old leg spin all -rounder Saloni Dangore played without international cricket and made it to the Women’s Premier League (WPL), achieved the contract of Trinabago Knight Riders (TKR) in the 2025 women’s Caribbean Premier League (WCPL). This achievement is special because a selection of an unaccounted player in the foreign T20 league is rare. Saloni was born in Indore, where he gave his early year to athletics. Saloni, who competed at the national level in the 100 meter, 200 meter race and long jump, had no attachment to cricket.
She was about 17 years old when she started playing cricket. Let me tell you, in the last two women’s Premier League season, Dangore was a net bowler in Delhi Capitals. Now Wab Lijel Lee, Shikha Pandey and Jess Jonasen are one of the four foreign players in TKR. Saloni considers Australian veteran Shane Warne as her ideal and has learned technology by watching her bowling video in a slow pace. Saloni Dangore told ESPNcricinfo, ‘I was inspired by the way Shane Warne and his ball rotate. Kin my hand used to rotate in the other direction and most of my balls used to become googly. So I used to watch his video in slow pace to understand how he used to do this.
Debut for Madhya Pradesh in 2018
In 2017-18, Saloni Dangore made his domestic cricket debut for Madhya Pradesh. However, he did not get much opportunities in the initial years. In search of better opportunities, he moved to Chhattisgarh before 2024-25 seasons. This decision gave a new direction to his career. In the ODI tournament for Chhattisgarh, he took 15 wickets in 6 matches and scored 144 runs. Now he is ready to play in the Caribbean Premier League.
