The Oman team participated in the ICC Men T20 World Cup 2024 and the players of the team are still avoiding Rs 1,94,96,471.13. This decision was taken on 23 July after a consecutive meeting for 8 months.

It has been 1 year since ICC Men T20 World Cup ended on 2024. However, despite such a long time, the players of Oman have not received the amount of participating in this tournament. In the agreements that the participating boards make for the event with the ICC, there is a provision that the prize money should be distributed to the players within 21 days of meeting the board from the ICC. The ICC has confirmed that they had sent the money to Oman Cricket on time. However, the board believes that they did not get the money at the right time and that is why the players did not get the amount at the right time.

When the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 was over, the players raised the issue about not getting money and threatened not to play in the Emerging team Asia Cup in October last year. Out of the 15 -member team, 11 players were suspended by the central contract and many people had to leave Oman. Omen Cricket, wrestling players have taken the matter seriously from this, but officer and president Pankaj Khimji made a statement that when everyone will get the money when the ICC will give them full amount.

The suspended players included Aqib Ilyas, Zeeshan Maqsood, Ayan Khan, Kashyap Prajapati, Shoaib Khan, Ahmed Fayaz Butt, Prateek Athawale, Kalimullah, Rafiullah, Nasim Khushi and Khalid Cal.
