But there was a lack of awareness about this game in his village. He revealed in the interview that people in the village considered cricket a waste of time. Parents used to ask their children to stay away from me, because they thought that playing cricket would spoil the future. He had no information about this game.
Akash Deep’s journey was full of difficulties
Akash’s life became more difficult when he lost his father and his brother after a few months at the age of 19. Cricket became a support for him in this sad phase. Despite the financial crisis of the family and lack of facilities for cricket in the village, Akash did not give up. But the real opportunity was found when he went to Bengal. Due to the ban on Bihar Cricket Association, he got a chance to play domestic cricket in Bengal, where he enhanced his talent.
