Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a new central contract for its women cricketers. These contracts will be effective from 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2026 and 20 players have been included in five separate categories. These players are divided into five categories A, B, C, D and a new ‘Emerging’ category E. The special thing is that the money received by the players in all the categories has also been increased.

Pakistan’s left -arm spinner Sadia Iqbal, who is currently on top of the ICC T20I bowling rankings, has been included in the category A. Fatima Sana, Muniba Ali and Sidra Amin have also got a place in this top category. The category B consists of experienced players like Alia Riyaz, Diana Bag and Nashra Sandhu. On the other hand, Ramin Shamim has been promoted from category D to C.
The category D has the highest number of 10 players, including Gul Feroza, Najiha Alvi, Natalia Parvez, Omima Sohail, Sadf Shamas, Sidara Nawaz, Syeda Aarub Shah, Toba Hasan, Um-e-Hani and Waheeda Akhtar. Along with this, PCB has started a new emerging category E to encourage young players. In this category, two emerging players Iman Fatima (Uncapted) and Shawwal Zulfikar (3 ODI, 7 T20) are included. Both players are part of the Pakistan women’s team recently on the tour of Ireland.
Players will get more money
Pakistan Cricket Board has made another big announcement. Actually, the monthly salary of this players has been increased by 50 percent. This step is an important initiative towards promoting women’s cricket and financially strengthening players. The special thing is that in all categories, monthly salary has been increased by 50%.
