The auction of players has started in Mumbai from May 31 for Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) season 12. Its first day was a bang. On the very first day of the auction, there was a bid of more than 1 crore for record 10 players and history was created in the league. At the beginning of the auction, Iranian all -rounder Mohammadreja Shadlu made headlines. Gujarat giant bought him for Rs 2.23 crore. At the same time, the best raider of the previous season, Devank Dalal also took place in a club of Rs 2 crore. He was included in his team by Bengal Warriz for Rs 2.205 crore.

Shadlu created history

Mohammadreja Shadlu made history at the beginning of the auction. Gujarat giants bought him in the first dialect for Rs 2.23 crore. With this, Shadlu PKL has become the first player in history, who has received more than Rs 2 crore in three consecutive seasons. He was also the most valuable player (MVP) in the 11th season. On the other hand, Devank Dalal, who won the title of best raider last time, also shone in the auction. He was bought by Bengal Warizer for Rs 2.205 crore. He has become the fifth most expensive player in PKL history.

Apart from these two players, many big names in category A crossed the Rs 1 crore mark. Arjun Deshwal, popularly known as Red Machine, was bought by Tamil Thalaivaz for Rs 1.405 crore, while defender Yogesh Dahiya was included in his team by Bengaluru Bulls for Rs 1.125 crore. Yogesh has become the most expensive Indian defender in PKL history with this dialect.

This time the final bid match (FBM) rule has been implemented in the auction, under which teams can buy their released players back at the price of the final bid. The first major use of this rule was made by Dabang Delhi KC. He bought his star raider Ashu Malik back for two seasons for Rs 1.90 crore. In this way, more than Rs 1 crore bid for a total of 5 players in category A got a bid.

In the category B, there was a great bid for many big players. Patna Pirates bought his all -rounder Ankit Jagalan back for a season using FBM card for Rs 1.573 crore. At the same time, season 8 winner Naveen Kumar was bought by Haryana Steelers for Rs 1.20 crore, making him the second most expensive player of this category. Apart from this, the UP Warrior was bought by UP Warrior for Rs 1.073 crore, Sachin Tanwar was bought by Puneri Paltan for Rs 1.058 crore and Nitin Kumar was bought by Jaipur Pink Panthers for Rs 1.002 crore.
