The secretary of Mumbai Cricket Association Abhay Harap said, ‘Prithvi Shaw is a talented player and he has contributed significantly to Mumbai cricket. We respect his decision and give a lot of best wishes for his future. Let me tell you, Prithvi Shaw was excluded by Mumbai in the midst of the Ranji Trophy 2024-25 campaign due to fitness, although he was included in the team in the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy.
