PSL 10 UAE Relocation : PCB Forced to Relocate PSL 10 Matches to UAE After Shocking Drone Strike

PSL 10 Relocated to UAE Amid Escalating Indo-Pak Tensions

PSL 10 UAE Relocation : In a dramatic and unprecedented move, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the remaining matches of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10 in the United Arab Emirates, citing serious security concerns arising from the growing geographical stress with neighboring India.

The PCB confirmed the decision late Thursday evening following an emergency meeting in Islamabad, including PCB president Mohsin Naqvi, security officials, representatives of franchise and many foreign players. The board said the migration was asked by “undesirable circumstances”, including recent cross-border drone strikes and intensive military exchanges that jeopardized the safety of players, officials and viewers.

Four league-stage matches scheduled for Playoff Fixer and Final-Molely Rawalpindi, Multan, and Lahore, will now be played in the UAE. The new schedule is expected to be announced soon.

“It is our priority to confirm the mental well -being and safety of all players and staff,” PCB president Mohsin Naqvi said in a press release. “We apologize to the disturbances, but believe that this step is necessary to support the integrity and continuity of the tournament. As with the past, we hope that our stakeholders, PSL, will rally with us in the best interests of our players and fans.”

The tense situation increased dramatically on Thursday when the PSL fixtures between Karachi Kings and Peshawar Zalmi were suddenly postponed. The Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, which was to be organized, was struck by a drone – it was part of the invasion of the Indian army conducted at the beginning of the day. According to top intelligence sources, there was a drone strike targeting military wealth in Pakistan after the April 22 terror attack in Pahlgam, Kashmir.

In the attack in Pahlgam, 26 people were killed, it was claimed by the proxy group of Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba (LET), the resistance front (TRF). In turn, the Indian forces launched “Operation Sindur” on Wednesday, targeting nine alleged terrorist infrastructure sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. The strike on Thursday focused on air defense establishments, including one in Lahore that Indian officials claimed that “neutral” was.

In a quick assertion to the media, the PCB said:

“The management of the Pakistan Cricket Board has opted to adjust the schedule of the Peshawar Zalmi vs. Karachi Kings game during Platform HBL PSL X. They consulted with all stakeholders before this decision. They will inform us of the updated schedule shortly.”

Sources near the PCB revealed that overseas gamers had expressed developing unease over the risky protection surroundings. Several international cricketers reportedly raised worries after the drone strike close to Rawalpindi Stadium, prompting the board to act swiftly to save you an exodus or withdrawal from the match.

The UAE, which has earlier hosted PSL during the Kovid -19 epidemic and was selected as an alternative site due to its perfect infrastructure, logistic facility and player safety records amidst domestic disturbance in Pakistan in 2019.

While the shift ensures the continuity of the tournament, it also reflects the widespread uncertainty around the Indo-Pak relationship. Cricket often serves as a bridge and a warfare in rivalry between two nuclear-cosmic neighbors; this development underlines how the game can be influenced deeply by geopolitics.

The PCB has requested fans to continue the support of the league despite the transfer. Ticketing and broadcasting details for the UAE leg of the tournament are expected to be made public in the coming days.
