During this, the Vice President of the Board Rajiv Shukla has been made the acting president. According to reports, a meeting of BCCI officials was held on August 27 under the leadership of Rajiv Shukla. During this time, the new sposterp was discussed after the removal of Dream 11. Roger Binny was made the chairman of the board in the year 2022 in place of Saurabh Ganguly. Now Roger Binny is 70 years old. In such a situation, he can soon resign from the post of president.
What is the rule?
According to the Constitution of BCCI, any official has to step down after 70 years of age. In such a situation, former player of Team India Roger Binny will be disqualified to continue in the post. According to reports, Rajiv Shukla will take charge for a few months. He will work as the acting president till he is elected the new president. Rajiv Shukla has been working as Vice President of BCCI since 2020.
President was made in the year 2022
Roger Binny has been a member of the team winning the ODI Cup in 1983. He was made the president of BCCI in the year 2022 in place of former Team India captain Saurabh Ganguly. Saurabh Ganguly was the President of BCCI from 2019 to 2022. Binny is the third former cricketer to command BCCI.
