The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have expressed happiness over the great honor from the International Cricket Council (ICC) to former captain of the Indian cricket team, Mahendra Singh Dhoni. This player who won two World Cups has been given a place in the ICC Hall of Fame. During a special event in London on Monday 8 June, the ICC gave 7 veterans of world cricket to the hall of fame. Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s name was also included in this. On receiving this honor, Dhoni has said that BCCI Vice President Rajiv Shukla has said a heart touching thing. He said that Dhoni was entitled to this.

Rajiv Shukla has expressed happiness over the inclusion of Hall of Fame of ICC to former Team India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. A video of him has been shared on social media X, in which he said, “This decision of ICC is absolutely correct. Dhoni is definitely entitled to this honor. It was necessary to give this honor to him in view of his contribution in world cricket and Indian cricket”.

He further said that I thank the ICC for choosing Dhoni. This appreciates their contribution. The BCCI vice president said that as far as the ICC Hall of Fame is concerned, Dhoni was the most entitled player. The ICC has given him this honor. Therefore, we are all appreciating the ICC’s decision. I would say that his contribution in world cricket as well as Indian cricket is very big.

BCCI also expressed happiness when he got a place in the ICC Hall of Fame. The board wrote on its official page that congratulations on joining the ICC Hall of Fame to former Indian captain MS Dhoni. He is the 11th Indian cricketer to join this list.
