Why did Jadeja pitch the pitch of Manchester?
Now the question is why Ravindra Jadeja kissed the pitch? Why taste his soil? So the answer is his century in difficult situations. In the Manchester Test, the delicate conditions in which Jadeja’s bat went on was the demand of that time. India had to save the Manchester Test. Had to postpone his defeat. Captain Shubman Gill and KL Rahul’s efforts before that did almost half the job. But, the remaining half the work was yet to be done.
Support the pitch and successful with his hard work
In the second inning of Manchester Test, Ravindra Jadeja’s batting started with his life. Joe Root left his catch and after that he did not look back until the match turned. Ravindra Jadeja again rooted hundreds of in the second innings of the Manchester Test against England. He scored 107 runs after facing 185 balls, which was the 5th century of his Test career. During this time, his unbeaten 203 runs off 334 balls with Washington Sundar and record partnership was also important.
Ravindra Jadeja must have saluted Manchester pitch for these reasons, because nothing was possible without support without a pitch. As Ben Stokes also said after the match that there was an unhealth bounce in the pitch, but it was for the right hander, not for the left hander. India’s luck was that both Jadeja and Sundar, who were fighting to draw a match for him, were left handers.
