RCB FIR stampede case : 

Police registered an FIR in the Bengaluru stampede case.

Outside the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, the stampede has shocked the entire country during the celebration of IPL victory of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). In this accident, 11 people lost their lives and more than 47 people were injured. In this case, an FIR has now been registered at Kabban Park Police Station. RCB management has been lodged as the first accused, event management company DNA as the second accused and Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) as the third accused.

Police has registered an FIR under sections-105, 115 and 118 in this case.

Section 105- This stream applies when someone dies due to negligence or non-Iradatan work, but it does not fall under the category of murder. In this case, the organizers are accused of stampede due to their negligence, due to which 11 people died.

Section 115- In this, when a person deliberately hurts someone. Many people were injured due to lack of mob management in this accident, for which this section has been added.

Section 118- In this, when dangerous methods or means causes serious injuries to someone. The clutter in the stampede was seen under this section.

The special report of TV9 brought the matter to the national level. This report told how the lack of mob management, free passes and limited seats gave rise to this accident. After this news, the police had earlier registered a case of unnatural death (UDR), but after heavy pressure and public outrage, an FIR was also registered against RCB, DNA and KSCA in 24 hours.

What happened on the day of the accident?

On June 3, RCB won its first IPL Trophy by defeating Punjab Kings in Ahmedabad. The next day, a Victory Parade was organized in Bengaluru. Outside the Chinnaswamy Stadium, millions of fans gathered to watch their favorite players but the organizers were negligent in controlling the crowd, causing this painful accident.

Charges and action

In FIR, RCB management, DNA event management company and KSCA are accused of criminal negligence. The Karnataka High Court has also sought answers from the government, taking automatic cognizance of the matter. RCB has announced financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh to the families of the deceased, while the government has promised free treatment of the injured.
