After two months and about 11 days long wait, the 18th season of the IPL has reached its point. The final of IPL 2025 will be played at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Tuesday 3 June. This is going to be such a final, which fans were waiting for the last several years. Not only a new champion is set to be found after a long time, but two such teams are fighting, which are part of the league from the first season and have not been able to win the title till date. Everyone is desperate to know whose account will open in Royal Challengers Bangalore or Punjab Kings. But is there a crooked weather on this match? This question is arising because it started raining in Ahmedabad during the day.
Two days ago, qualifier-2 was played between Punjab and Mumbai Indians in this ground in Ahmedabad. In that match, there was a lot of rain interfering. After the toss, as soon as both the teams came on the field, it started raining. Due to this, the match could start at 9:45 pm after a long wait of two and a half hours. Now the finals are also being played in this venue and due to the knock of monsoon in the country, the rainy season is being formed, so the same question is in the minds of the fans that will it rain in today’s match?
Rain starts in Ahmedabad, how will the weather be during the match?
The answer is hidden in the weather estimate. Ahmedabad has received rain at around 4 pm today, but according to the famous website Aqewedar, who describes ‘Weather Forecast’, the weather of Ahmedabad is very clear in the evening and night. The temperature will be around 35 degrees Celsius at 7 pm and the possibility of rain is zero. Similarly, there is no estimate of rain till 12 o’clock in the night and the weather will be perfect for cricket. Summer will be more humid but where does the match stop with it. Therefore, fans of Bengaluru and Punjab will be able to witness this historic final without any fear and trouble.
How will the match decide in the event of rain?
But the weather is going to go on to turn anytime. Therefore, even if the match was affected due to rain, arrangements have been made in the rules for it. According to IPL playing conditions, if the finals are interrupted on Tuesday night due to rain, then there is a provision of 120 minutes i.e. 2 hours in addition to it. Like the qualifier-2, if it rains before the match starts, no over will be cut till 9:45 pm. If the match does not start by this time, then the over will start cutting.
At the same time, in any case, an attempt will be made to achieve the result on Tuesday, for which it is necessary to have a game of at least 5-5 overs. For this, the time-off time ie, when the time limit of 5-5 overs is a frame, it is till 11:56 pm. If this is also not possible, then an attempt will be made to achieve the result of the match from the super over, for which the time limit is at 12:50 pm. If this does not happen, then the match will be completed on Reserve Day i.e. Wednesday 4 June. If the results do not result in the reserve Day, then Punjab Kings will be considered the winner on the basis of securing first place in the points table.
