But with the start of the second day of the Test match, Pant also fully prepared and reached the Old Trafford Stadium. Meanwhile, the Board of Control for Cricket in India released a big update and told that they will be available for batting as per the need of the team.

In the last session of the first day of the Manchester Test match that started on July 23, Chris Woakes had a ball near Pant’s right leg in an attempt to play a reverse sweep. Pant had to go out after retiring hurt and Ravindra Jadeja came to batting in his place. According to reports, Pant’s injured leg was scanned, in which it was revealed that he had a fracture in his right leg, due to which he has been out of the series and will not be able to return to the field for about 6 weeks.

However, despite this, Pant reached the stadium with the start of the second day’s game, but his leg was covered. Along with this, BCCI also gave a new update and said that he can bat when needed. According to BCCI, “Rishabh Pant’s right to leg was hurt on the first day of the Manchester Test match and he will not do wicketkeeping in this Test.
