Rishabh Pant scored history by scoring a century in both innings of the Leeds Test. But while creating that history, he also made a mistake, due to which he had to scold him. Rishabh Pant has been imposed to break the Kod of Conduct of the ICC. Pant was found guilty under Level 1, after which the match referee reprimanded him. Meaning there was no more action on them. The press release issued by the ICC stated that Pant has been found guilty under Article 2.8, which is associated with protests or objections against the umpire’s decision in international matches. To break this code of conduct, 1 demerit points have also been added to Pant’s account.
When did the mistake happen to Pant, for which scolding?
Now the question is when Pant made that mistake, for which Rishabh Pant was scolded. This is the case of the third day in the Leeds Test. During the 61st over of England’s first inning, the umpire refused to change the ball shape and change it after examining it. On this, Pant had protested by slamming the ball on the ground in front of the umpire, for which he has been reprimanded.
Pant accepted a mistake in front of the match referee
According to the press release of the ICC, Rishabh Pant has accepted his mistake in that case in front of Richie Richardson, after which no further hearing in that case is needed. He had complained to the match referee about Pant’s opposition by on field out -of -the -out Paul Rifle and Chris Jaffne. Apart from him, third umpire Sarfudaula and Fourth Umpire Mike Burns also accused.
Under Levan 1, there is a minimum punishment for players found guilty. Whereas maximum punishment is to reduce their match fees by 50 percent and add one or two demerit points.
