The Indian team’s wicketkeeper-batsman Sanju Samson has created history in the Kerala Cricket League 2025 season. He has become the most expensive player of this league. As soon as Sanju Samson was named in the Auction of Kerala Cricket League 2025, some teams started bidding on him. However, he was finally included in his team by Kochi Blue Tigers. Kochi bought Sanju for 26.80 lakh rupees. Let me tell you that the bid of Sanju Samson started from Rs 5 lakh.
Sanju spent half his purse on Samson
In this auction, all the teams have 50-50 lakh rupees to spend on the players. In order to include Sanju Samson in his team, Trisoor Titans bid up to 20 lakhs. He felt that the Indian player would play with his team but Kochi Blue Tigers spent more than 50% of his total purse and he bought the Indian player for Rs 26.80 lakh. After including Sanju Samson in his team, only 23.2 lakh rupees left in Kochi’s purse.
Sanju Samson was the League Ambassador in the first season of the Kerala Cricket League. He was not able to play this season because he was participating for Team India. However, he kept himself available for auction for the 2025 season. The Kochi team will also be very happy that Sanju Samson will be seen playing on his behalf this season. The second season of this tournament will be played from 21 August to 6 September. Apart from Sanju Samson, Vishnu Vinod has been bought by Aries Kolam Sellers for Rs 12.80 lakh.
