In fact, for a long time, there are only competition between Team India and Pakistan in ICC events. After the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks, the Indian government had announced that now they will not play any match against Pakistan. In the Asia Cup 2025, both these teams will be face to face and Azharuddin has spoken a big thing about the match.

Mohammad Azharuddin said, ‘I always say that if something is happening then it should be allowed to happen and if it is not happening then distance should be made at all. If you are not playing bilateral series, then you should not play in international events either. I think This board and government should understand this. The league of veteran players is not officially. ICC or BCCI has not done it. But the Asia Cup is a tournament that ACC gets.
