Indian Test team captain Shubman Gill and Dhakad batsman Rishabh Pant have performed a bang in the series against England. Both these batsmen have put pressure on the England bowlers while batting brilliantly so far. Talking about Rishabh Pant, he scored a century while batting excellently in both innings of the first Test match. Not only this, Gill scored a century in the first innings of the first Test while scoring a double century in the first innings of the second Test match. He scored 161 runs in the second innings. India’s batting coach Sitanshu Kotak has given a big statement in the press conference before the third Test match regarding the mentality of both these players. Sitanshu Kotak told how these two batsmen started raining runs?

Speaking at the press conference, Sitanshu Kotak said, ‘I don’t think there has been a change in him due to his captaincy. It seems to me that this is their mindset. In our initial practice match in Australia and then in the middle of the series we have seen a change in their mindset. He has also made a lot of changes technically, but more than that I will speak about his mindset. It is in his mind that now the Indian player has to give maximum time at the crease.
Now he has thought that the bad ball has to be transported across the boundary. He is scoring a century on 140 or 150 balls. Everyone has seen a change in their game. In the second innings of the first Test, he was hurried to play the shot, about which he also spoke but he did not play a single shot until he was set in the next Test.
What did Rishabh Pant do?
Sitanshu Kotak said about Rishabh Pant, ‘Rishabh Pant definitely talks about what he did, when and why? He has talked to me about it. But Pant is a player who does not talk much when he is batting. According to him, this changes their mindset and they take the wrong decision. Apart from batting, he also talks about other batsmen. It is not so easy to score a century without a plan.
