Gill revealed that his parents have a malaise to not be able to install triple century. BCCI has shared the video of Shubman Gill on social media. In the message, his father Lakhwinder Singh said, “Son played very well, it was fun to see your batting today. I started seeing today’s innings as I used to play from Under-16 to Under-19. I feel very proud”.

Gill’s mother said that it was very nice son to see your batting. Keep moving forward like this, good luck to you. Shubman Gill was happy to see this message. He said that this message matters a lot to me. I play cricket for my father, but my father has a sorrow that I missed triple century. He has expressed its grief in the message.

Shubman Gill played the best innings of his career in Edgbaston Test. Gill played very poor shots in this innings. He not only scored his runs but he also made important partnerships with his fellow players. Karun Nair, his partnership with Rishabh Pant was over 50 runs but along with Ravindra Jadeja, he added more than 200 runs, due to which the Indian team managed to reach 500.
