Sourav Ganguly is counted among the most successful captains in the world. Under the captaincy of Ganguly, Team India confirmed its place in the final of the ICC ODI World Cup 2003. However, in the final, the team had to face defeat against Australia. The former Indian captain has scored a total of 38 centuries in his international cricketing career. Although he regrets that he could have scored more and more centuries, but he failed to do so. Ganguly has presented his side for this.

Ganguly has played 113 Test matches for Team India in which he has scored 7212 runs at an average of 42.17. The former Indian captain has 16 centuries and his highest personal score is 239 runs. In ODI cricket, he has scored 11363 runs in 311 matches at an average of 42.02. He has scored 22 centuries. The highest individual score of the legendary player in this format is 183 runs. According to Ganguly, he could score even more centuries in his cricketing career. Talking to PTI, Ganguly said, ‘I have missed many centuries. I could score more runs. In many matches, I have been dismissed around 80, 90 runs.
Sourav Ganguly has been dismissed around 80 or 90 runs about 30 times. If he had converted his fairy into a century, he would have joined more than 50 centuries in international career. However, former Indian captain failed to do so. Ganguly further said, ‘When I am alone, I watch the video of my batting. When I am watching this on YouTube, I say the same, hey, then I was out on 70. This time it could have scored a century but you cannot change it.
