The tour of England was not good for Team India under the captaincy of Shubman Gill. In the first Test played in Leeds, India lost despite the strong performance of the batsmen including captain Gill and Vice-captain Rishabh Pant. But while the debut of the senior team was disappointing, the junior team opened its account in a blistering manner. On the basis of young batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s explosive innings and spinner Kanishka Chauhan’s deadly bowling, India Under-19 crushed England Under-19 by 6 wickets in the first ODI.
