Jeetesh Sharma will not be seen playing for Vidarbha team in 2025-26 domestic season. He will play for Baroda. Jitesh Sharma did not play a single match in the Ranji Trophy last season, as Vidarbha captain and first -choice wicketkeeper Akshay Wadkar was given priority. However, Jeetesh was part of Vidarbha’s white-ball team and played under the captaincy of Karun Nair. Now this transfer for Baroda can give a new direction to his career, especially in red-ball cricket.
Jeetesh’s going to Baroda is considered a thoughtful step. The process of this transfer was going on for some time. In this new beginning, his RCB partner and Baroda captain Krunal Pandya has played an important role. Both of them won the IPL title for the first time with RCB in June this year, and their friendship has made this transfer easier.
Red-ball cricket did not play for a long time
Jitesh Sharma’s first class career started in the 2015-16 season. But he has played only 10 first class matches so far. During this time he has scored 661 runs at an average of 24.48, including 4 half -centuries. At the same time, he played his last first class match in January 2024. That is, he has not played any first class match for about 18 months. Apart from him, Jitesh’s IPL team fellow Swapnil Singh is also going to go to Tripura before the coming season. He last played domestic cricket for Uttarakhand in 2024-25.
