But it seems that in view of the possibility of delay in the arrival of Gambhir, the Board of Control for Cricket in India has asked VVS Laxman to fill the place. A Revspports report claimed that Laxman, the head of BCCI’s Center of Excellence (Coe), may take command of Team India instead of Gambhir for a few days.

The report claimed that Laxman has already reached London and was seen keeping an eye on Team India’s practice match. By the way, this is not the first time that Laxman will take over the responsibility of coaching the Senior Team India. In the last 2-3 years, he has taken over the reins of Team India in a select series.
