He was also seen cheering fiercely for his team. This player is none other than Rohit Sharma, the captain of the Indian ODI, who announced his retirement from Test cricket before the Test series against England.

Rohit Sharma went to the field for the last time during the Indian Premier League 2025. He scored 418 runs in 15 matches this season for Mumbai Indians. It also included four half -centuries. After the end of this tournament, Rohit Sharma left for a long holiday with his family.
The Rohit went to Dubai, Italy and Switzerland with the family. After this, he also celebrated holidays with family members in England. Rohit Sharma was also seen cheering for Team India in the fifth and last match played between India and England in London. Team India won this match by 6 runs.

There may be a return in this series
Rohit Sharma also retired from Test cricket after taking retirement from T20I. Now he will be seen taking part in ODI cricket only. Team India has to play a three -match ODI and five -match T20 series against Australia which starts from October 19.
The first three -match ODI series will be played between these two teams, which will be from October 19 to October 25. Rohit Sharma may return to the team in this ODI series. Not only this, veteran batsman Virat Kohli can also return to it.
