Born on 27 March 2011 in Tajpur village of Samastipur district of Bihar, Vaibhav Suryavanshi has created panic in the cricket world. At the age of just 14, Vaibhav not only set a record for making the youngest debut in the IPL, but also made the world record of scoring a century in T20 cricket. On 19 April 2025, while debuting at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur against Lucknow Super Giants at the age of 14 and 23 days, Vaibhav introduced his aggressive style by hitting a six on the first ball.
Subsequently, on 28 April 2025, Vaibhav played a stormy innings of 101 runs in 38 balls against Gujarat Titans, including 11 sixes and 7 fours. This century came in only 35 balls, which is the second fastest century after Chris Gayle’s 30 -ball century in the IPL and the fastest century from an Indian. This innings made Vaibhav an overnight star and the bridges of his praise were tied on social media. He is now one of the biggest contenders for winning IPL’s Emerging Player Award.

The Emerging Player Award of the IPL is given to the young players who have been born on 1 April 1999, have not played more than 5 Tests or 20 ODIs, have played less than 25 IPL matches before the start of the season and have not won this award first. Vaibhav meets all these criteria. This season he scored 252 runs in 7 innings, including a century and a half -century, and his strike rate was 206.55. However, Sai Sudarshan also has a big name in this award race. He has scored 759 runs in 15 matches this season and he is also at the forefront of winning the Orange Cap.
