This match was none other than the semi -final of the 2019 ODI World Cup in which Team India played against New Zealand and had to face defeat in it. Chahal said that even when he was crossing Kohli, he still had tears in his eyes.

Yuzvendra Chahal said on Raj Shamami’s podcast, I saw him in the 2019 World Cup. He was crying in the bathroom. After that I was the last batsman who was crossing him. There were tears in his eyes even then. Virat Kohli was dismissed for just one run in the semi -finals of the 2019 ODI World Cup.
In this match, New Zealand batted first and scored 239 runs losing 8 wickets in 50 overs. In response, Team India failed to bat well and piled on 221 runs. Ravindra Jadeja scored 77 runs from the team while Mahendra Singh Dhoni contributed 50 runs. However, due to the poor batting of the top order, the Indian team failed to name this match. At that time, Team India captain was Virat Kohli.
