In the final of IPL 2025, Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Punjab Kings by 6 runs and won the trophy of this magnificent tournament. All the players from RCB performed a bang. This trophy is very special for Virat Kohli. This is because Virat Kohli has played 18 seasons of IPL on behalf of RCB and for the first time he has named this trophy. Virat Kohli’s jersey number is also 18 and now this number has become even more special for him.
Virat had already made a big disclosure
Virat Kohli had already revealed that, ‘My father died on 18 December. When I joined the under-19 team, he gave me number 18 jersey. I made a debut for India on 18 August. I do not know but 18 number holds a very special place in my life.
Let me tell you, this was the 18th season of the IPL. Even though Virat Kohli has not been able to make a big score in the final from RCB, he has always performed a bang. Virat scored 43 runs in the final of IPL 2025. He hit three fours during his innings.
RCB won IPL 2025 final
Talking about the final match, Royal Challengers Bangalore scored 190 runs in 20 overs, batting first, scoring 190 runs. Apart from Virat Kohli, captain Rajat Patidar scored 26 runs while Liaum Livingstone scored 25 runs. Jitesh Sharma contributed 24 runs while Mayank Agarwal also scored 24 runs. For Punjab Kings, Arshdeep Singh took three wickets for 40 runs in four overs, while Kelil Zamison took three wickets for 48 runs in four overs.
In response, Punjab Kings were able to score 184 runs after losing 7 wickets in 20 overs. For Punjab, the best batsman Shashank Singh played a stormy innings of 61* runs but he could not win his team. Apart from Shashank Singh, Josh English scored 39 runs while Prabhasimran Singh contributed 26 runs. For Royal Challengers Bangalore, Bhuvneshwar Kumar took two wickets for 38 runs in four overs while Krunal Pandya also took two wickets.
