South Africa’s star all -rounder Vian Mulder has added a new chapter to cricket history in the second Test match being played against Zimbabwe at Bulavio’s Queens Sports Club. In his first Test match as a captain, Mulder scored a unique record in world cricket by scoring a triple century (300 runs). He has become the first player in the world to score a triple century in the first innings as a captain in Test cricket.

27-year-old Vian Mulder was given the command of South Africa in the presence of regular captain Temba Bawuma and Stand-in captain Keshav Maharaj in this Test. Maharaj had a groin injury during batting in the first Test, after which Mulder got the responsibility of captaincy.
