The Indian cricket team is busy preparing for the second match of the five-Test series against England. The match will start from July 2 at Edgbaston, Birmingham. Team India, captained by Shubman Gill, will keep an eye on winning this match and returning to the series, the Indian team lost by 5 wickets in the first match. But before the second match, a new player has been seen in Team India. Now a big disclosure has been made on this player.

Gill called this player by messaging

Prior to the Edgbaston Test, the left -handed spinner of Punjab Kings Harpreet Brar was seen in the practice session of the Indian team. Harpreet is not a part of the Indian Test team, but she bowled the Indian batsmen in the nets. Harpreet Brar has now revealed that he became a part of Team India’s practice session on whom he said last. He told that he was associated with Team India in Birmingham after the message of Indian team captain Shubman Gill.

Harpreet Brar revealed in a video shared by BCCI, ‘My wife’s house is in Swindon, which is one and a half hours from Birmingham. I was talking to Shubman, and he sent me a message. I thought, let’s practice there. This is a different experience, it seems as if we have come in the middle of our family. Along with this, Harpreet Brar also praised Arshdeep Singh, who plays for Punjab only.

Bowlers disappointed in the first Test

India lost by five wickets in the first Test played in Leeds’s headingley, when England easily achieved the target of 371 runs. This defeat questioned the Indian bowling unit, especially on the performance of spinners like Ravindra Jadeja, who took only one wicket in the entire match. Jasprit Bumrah took five wickets in the first innings, but he failed to leave impact in the second innings. The rest of the fast bowlers also flopped and the mistakes of leaving seven catches deepened India’s defeat. In such a situation, Team India does not want to leave any shortage.
